Repairs & Replication

The task of restoration sometimes includes rebuilding and reproducing pieces that have been damaged or even completely removed. The small wood details on the back and side altars had been damaged over the years by cleaning and or simply breaking off.

On this project, many of the spires were completely removed as the details pieces broke off. Over 700 new pieces were made to restore the spires that dominated the architectural design of these pieces. 

The Tabernacle itself was also originally made of wood. Over the past 100 years, the wood has dried out, been damaged and the working parts worn out. The tabernacle and the entire area around it were removed to make room for a new self- contained unit that detracted from the original design and confused the architectural integrity.

From the original drawings we recreated the area to incorporate the new modular tabernacle but rebuilt the area into the overall design which more accurately resemble the original intent.

Molds and 3 axis CNC Carvings

A variety of over 75 molds including 13 different sizes and styles of capitals alone. Numerous Turn of the Century Scrolls and Flourishing’s plus symbolic liturgical friezes and artistic adornments. See Gallery 

The CNC carvings are used to make new sculpts that are custom designed for your project. Once the machine has made the rough cut, the artist smooths shapes and backdrafts the figure so that it comes to life. Custom - Angels, Symbols, Crests, Numerals, Saints and other shapes per customer request. See Gallery
